Urk...so this library is to allow the 9100 to test the device? One builds a listing of the parts to be tested and away it goes? Sounds like fun.

I did have an interesting chat with a tech (perhaps the head one) of the old Fluke Canada repair center, for about 1/2 hour, and he was telling me about the 9010 and 9100 back when they were selling and servicing them. Mentioned that while they were very powerful, most people never could figure out how to program them. Seems it took a long time to figure out Flukes intentions and scripting. What a surprise.

However he has given me a lead for a service center out here in Vancouver (1990's mind you) where they were happily programming applications for these machines. I shall be following this up.

He also sold off a "ton" of parts to a company that was planning on emulating the 9100 about ten years ago. Nothing ever came of it but he might be able to find the people involved and see if anything remains.

The quest continues!

I mean the virtual parts library that is stored on the hard disc of the
9100.

To create a UFI/GFI test program on the 9100 you must build a

Reference file (location of each different component)
Parts file / library (logical description of each unique part)
Node list (list of each signal & each node thereof)

The promise is that after you've done this the 9100 is smart enough to help
you find the problem.....

maybe we will see....

Thanks,
>If you mean what sort of ICs we stock, well, we are a service shop and I
>stock hundreds of ICs, most in ten lots. EPROMs, PROMs, transistors, PALs,
>CMOS, TTL, and Linear. Plus lots of other parts....about $12,000US or so...
>
>But this is not really my hobby....well actually it is my hobby, I
>unfortunately try to make a living at it...tinkering...great fun!
>>Before I undertake the effort of adding devices into my parts library I
>>wanted to see if anyone out there had a killer bloated, all encompassing
>>parts library that they would be willing to post/share.
>>
>>I don't know how my library compares with others but I know I keep finding
>>things I need to add such as
>>
>>7442
>>74191
>>74193
>>PROMs
>>etc...
>>
>>Any help appreciated!
