Silicon Controlled Rectifier Testing

I'm working on a Qbert power supply and have a question about bench testing
one of the components. It has a MCR 681-1 silicon controlled rectifier. Can
you test these the same as a transistor using the diode test feature on a
multimeter? What would the specs. be? If the diode test isn't the way to go how
do you test them?
