Hi,

My SD color x-y monitor blanked out last week.

I found a dead resistor and diode in the HV Cage of the WG6101/92-053.

Ok, cool I think I can do this.....

Now, I have a bad case of the (actually the monitor does) smellies and
the jigglies,,,;-( and a yellow spot in the middle of the left bottom
quadrant.

The jigglies are on all the vectors and are kindof like white noise.

The smell is a (here is weird way to describe it) deep/low and strong.
I didn't leave it on too long just 5 minutes. I will take
apart the HV cage again and see if I can visually id it.

I replaced the resistors with "upgraded" ones 5W (they didn't have 3W)
and 3.9 upfrom 2.2 ohms.

I least the colors are better ;-) and there isn't any smoke (well yet).

Help?

Thanks

Frank
