Matt,

When I first brought my Tempest home it would perform the same actions - I'd
reseat the ROMS and it would work fine. Few weeks later - same thing. Reseat
and OK. After the third time, I resoldered the sockets and it hasn't done that
since. There were quite a few solder joints made after manufacture, many of
them looked pretty ugly.
