It has been some time since my last update and my email box has been
filling up with requests for an update on the repro MH roller project.
None of these Emails have been answered (so that no one feels left
out) and I’m doing an group, information update now and here is why…..
I was hoping to be further along them I am but work as slowed down my
progress. Just as Clay has been quiet for reasons of the new Rio’s on
the way, I have deadlines on the new Playstation 2 which I’m heavily
involved in. This project has taken me to Germany, Italy and all over
the USA, leaving me with little "home time" to work on the mill.
Additionally, I have a personal problem that I wouldn’t mind the prayers
of the vector list members. My 3 year old was born with a hole in his
heart. We went into NY early this week for a second option of the
severity and corrective actions that might needed. Bottom line is that
he will be needing open heart surgery with in the next 60 days to
correct a faulty valve and close the hole. Needless to say that this
ongoing issue has not left my head where it needs to be in regards to
this whole project. Your prayers, for maybe the youngest member of the
vector list, would be welcome.
By now everyone who wanted replacement steel rollers should have
received them and thanks for all the complements I have received via
Email. Also for everyone who has asked to up their order for the entire
Repro unit, I’m working on that in as well. The increased order demand
slowed everyone’s order up as I stopped ½ way through to go back and
make more of parts, I thought I was done making, and to make more of
the pieces in process.
A few have asked for pictures of the work to date. I was keeping a good
collection of pictures as I progressed only to lose the memory card from
my camera on the way back from Europe. I took a few new one of all the
frames and all the top plates.

What’s left to do is 2 things. Finish the opening for the roller on the
top plates an cut the green rollers.
I need one thing that the group can help me with. I lost one dimension,
which was the width of the green roller. Can some one confirm that the
actual width is 2.062 I had it written down but cant find my master
list of notes.
