looking for a chip

An apology to all as this is really a raster question... Only problem is
that after 3 send, It doesn't seem to go through and since most of the
people read here anyway..... My question..

Im looking for an IC for my Cinematronics, Jack The Giantkiller board, I

believe that it is the audio amp chip for the sounds. The Fairchild # is

MB3712. This crosses to an ECG 1423. The real problem is that NTE bought

ECG and NTE has no cross-reference for this chip. A quick trip to my
local electronics store confirmed my fears that NTE dumped the ECG chip
in the acquisition :-(.
Does anyone have a source for this chip or pin out of these chip (it is
an 8 pin single inline package) so I can do some reverse engineering?
Unfortunately ECGs site is gone so that's no help. :-(
