If it is just like a #47 except it has a screw base, a #40 IS a #47 in a screw
base, but is 6.3 volts and .15 amp.

Radio Shack has the #40 as catalog number 272-1128 at an outrageous price.

I can't find anything in a 5 volt screw base #47 style bulb, but a 6.3 volt
bulb will last longer for you anyway.
