My star wars cockpit has a 19" amplifone in it. I could never figure out why
someone would replace the tube if the deflection and HV boards were working.

Chris,

Cockpits can take either 25" Amplifone or 19" WG flavours. The cab is
the same but (having never seen one with a 19" in it) I assume the
original 25" monitor mounts are extended with spacers to fit a 19" in.

Not sure if they were originally manufactuered with either or Atari did
a conversion kit later on as the Amplifones broke down. I was under the
impression it was something Atari official rather than an after-market
hack but not sure.

Regards,

Paul.
