Tempest BIP stuff

hi all..

i got a tempest here that went screwey this morning, i wondered if there was
a quick fix or somethign that someone could point me straight to..

basically, the prob is definately on the board, and the problem appears to
be in the Y section, the screen is jumping around tearing itself up, as if
someone was spinning the BIP pot, this appears to vary in intensity
depending on what is on screen, but only affects left/right movement (in the
vertical tempest monitor ;) so its in the Y (i think :)
The BIP pot still affects the screen in a fluid movement, its nto a dirty
pot (which was my first impression)

i've not done much on colour vectors, but i hope its a post-DAC problem..

can anyone throw me a bone here?
