This came up a month or 2 back (when bradley trainer hit mame
unofficially).
I'd love someone to reverse engineer the hardware so we could put it in
a cab. Well now that I think about it, that amazing vector video card
someone produced + mame would give you a pretty close approximation of
it quite easily but I'd rather do it the hard way :P

I wish it wasn't WAY beyond my abilities to work it out.

It seems to me, anyway, that step 1 is to get the game running on an
unmodified bz board set.

Looking at the mame source am I right in saying you need an extra eprom
- I see the original pcb has an extra daughter card BUT looking at the
battlezone single rom hack it appears the space is there for the extra
code? am I right? So maybe that bit's easy. Should be easy to use a
larger rom and make something switchable between BZ and BT.

Next thing's the aux board. Don't know about anyone else but I don't
fancy getting all those proms replaced. Anyone worked out a single rom
or prom hack for the aux board? again making it large enough to hold
both bz amd bt ... hell, and maybe red baron too for good measure would
be the way to go.
