Thanks for all the feedback so far. I hope that the pictures will help
explain just what I mean by "squiggly" lines.

I ran the self test and learned that my X-BIP needs adjustment. The
individual vertical lines in the BIP test are visible and are spread
about
1/4 inch wide, total. The horizontal line is at least solid, but is
about
1/8 inch wide.

I did try exercising the X and Y size pots on the deflection board. I
haven't found a sweet spot yet that removes the curves in the lines.
I'm
hopeful that the BIP alignment will help the text somewhat, but other
than
that, I've got some work to do.

So, any ideas of where to look after that will be most appreciated!
