Have you tried feeding a different color signal from the game board
into the green signal in the deflection board ? i.e. swap red and
green.... does the focus problem stay with green on the monitor ?

I've never heard of anything like this myself... do you have another
neck board you can try ?

Hopefully someone else here has some other ideas as well.

If I focus green, then red and blue are miles out. Even when "focused", green is
barely ok and the star wars green intro writing is still an out of focus mess.

green seems to need to be driven harder judging by the pots on the neck board.
