WG6100 tube swap

As you may know, I've taken over the Ground Kontrol Retrocade in
Portland, Oregon along with four partners including Clay Cowgill and
Neil Bradley. The games we inherited sport a lot of, um, interesting
repair jobs which we are still in the process of discovering and
correcting.

One of the more extreme examples is the WG6100 in our Tempest. A while
back, I repaired the boardset for the previous owner, but the display
blinked out shortly after. He immediately assumed that the tube must be
to blame, trashed it (!), and replaced it with a Rauland 19VMBP22. At
least he had the presence of mind to keep the yoke.

I don't know if the Rauland is pin compatible; he made it so by sticking
the original tube's neck cap on it.

After repairing the true cause of no picture (blown rectifier diodes,
deflection transistors, and caps in the B+ section), I get sharp, bright
green, but very dim and fuzzy red/blue. Adjusting focus knob causes
focus to 'overshoot' into total fuzz; more violent moves make the focus
'overshoot' beyond the knob position. But after five minutes, the whole
thing is a blurry mess no matter what I do.

Swapping in a known good boardset from another WG6100 shows no
improvement, so I must assume this tube is either bad or an improper
fit. Is there a fix I can try? Must I get a replacement? Where would I
find one?

I'd really like to get my personal WG6100 monitor back. ;-)

Thanks,
-A.
