That did occur to me this morning. I sent out the Email last night after
I'd packed up for the night (it was late and I was getting up early!)

Having looked at the schematics this morning, am I right in presuming that
if the HVT is giving out volts to the focus/screen block if the screen
control works but the focus does not? Is there any way to test the focus
block in/out of circuit ?

Anyone care to comment on this?

If this is the case then it must be the block itself (I have a scrap HV
board somewhere to rob from) or the wiring to the tube. The tube *should*
be OK as it was taken from a working raster monitor.

I'll have another play tonight.

Anyone care to take a bet on how long this HVT will last? How many out
there have red HVTs that are still running? The one that I have running
(at least partially) was taken from a damaged HV board with serial number
17800 (ish).
