Chris,

I just recently recapped both my G08's in my Tac/Scan and my Space
Fury. They had the intermittent blanking out that you described. I found
with both of my monitors that the connector in HV-Cage had such bad solder
joints that it was amazing that they ever worked! I've never seen such bad
solder joints before. Looked like the wave solder machine missed those
joints completely.

I can almost guarantee you that is the problem with yours too.... I didn't
use 105 degree caps in mine but what a difference in the colors and
brightness after the cap kit!
