I've been trying to troubleshoot my dang Tempest upright for waaaaay too
long now, and I think it's finally time for me to call it quits and get
someone who knows what the heck they're doing!

the player select button LEDs aren't on, the game is dead, and the reset
line functions from the reset button up to pin 1 of the inverter chip at E6,
but is completely dead throughout the rest of the reset circuit. I've gotten
help from RGVACers, replaced chips, studied the hell out of the schems, and
checked everything I know to check with no luck. I'm wondering if the
problem is just power related, but I can't seem to find what could be wrong
there either. i'm trying to learn to do this repair stuff myself, but I'm in
over my head at this point it seems.

instead of going through the pain of removing the wiring harness and
everything, is there anyone who would be interested in coming over to my
place and taking a look at it for a reasonable fee? Or, I guess I could haul
the whole machine to someone elses place. Whichever. If you are familiar
with Tempest or good at repairing these games in general, let me know!

Thanks,
Roger
