Nope I've been there too! ;o) I got some more fuses and F3+F4 still blow
with everything bar the power supply connected (obviously after I'd
rechecked my work as well!) Here's the thing though... I removed the
1N4002s from the 3716/3792's and turned the game back on. Damn I wish I
hadn't... My R3 literally burst into flames and it's taken out at least two
3904's, one U57 and one of the 3716's... What the hell happened? I've gone
from having a fully working deflection board to having more problems with it
than when I bought it broken in the first place! I've got the parts in to
fix it, but that's not really the issue at the moment. I've checked my
work, I've checked the components I used - everything should have been okay?
I *really* want to know what on earth went wrong? Has anyone got any ideas?
I think that once I've got it going again, I'm going to leave it well
alone!!!

Paul

Sorry I don't have a picture of the mods, but I did just go through
the F3 & F4 popping issue myself and it turned out to be a bad
connection at the game board connectors. Unplug everything off the
deflection board except for the power supply and turn the game on and
see if it doesn't pop the fuses. If not then plug in just the game
board connectors and see what happens. Apparently a bad connection
at the game board can cause F3 & F4 to blow almost immediately when
powering up.

(It may have nothing to do with your deflection board upgrades).
