For the amount of money you guys are willing to pool couldn't you reverse engineer one and get them produced elsewhere?

I am in for 4 at $250, screw it. I am willing to eat the extra $200 at this point and just know that I have them for future use:) It is a slap in the face though, but it is what it is.
