Re: Star Wars PCB help

I have a SW boardset that passes all self tests but when played it plays sort of choppy. When shots are fired from the tie fighters the shots will move in frames if that makes sense. When the tie fighters fly sometimes they appear to streatch. Also the towers on the death star are really jittery.
Got any ideas when might be doing this?

First thing to try would be the 40-pin LSI chip, the AVG chip. That has a high failure rate these days. If swapping it out doesn't isolate it, it may be a flaky PROM in the mathbox. Those are soldered in.
