I'm surprised no one else has responded. I read online somewhere that towards the end of production that Atari came out with a new FBT. I wonder if that is what you have? I understand they were much more reliable. Can someone shed some light on this?

Just repairing another amplifone HV today and I noticed the red transformer is a different shape from all of my other ones. It turned out to be a working one which is always nice. Rather than being round in shape when viewed from above it goes to a point a bit like the front of a boat. Has anyone else seen one like this?
