Another Aztarac WG6401 story. Another friend, Hans O also has an Aztarac also with a bad WG6401. The same guy (Mark H.) was fixing both monitors for us. It actually worked out well for him to have two monitors as he could cross test components.
Hans' monitor was missing the HV all together. Using the schematics for the 6101 and 6401, Mark modded a 6101 HV to convert it to a 6401 HV. He hasn't documented it yet, but he did say it was pretty much straight forward with a minimum of difficulty. I know this doesn't have a lot of archive value, but it's good to know at least it can (and has) been done. Hans' monitor is now working perfectly too.
