Re: SW ESB ROMS

First, I probably should have said that I've been using this burner for 8-10 years so I'm familiar with how to load and burn EPROM's.  I've also never had an issue loading any EPROM image I've had in the past.  That is why this one has got me stumped.

OK, so more details....

My burner is an eeTools AllMax.  The EPROM's I'm trying to burn are 27128's.  What I'm seeing happen is that I select the file, select a format (normally Binary, but I've tried all of the selections on my programmer) and then it just dumps me back to the menu without actually loading the file.  Viewing the buffer immediately afterwards shows that it is blank.  My only assumption is that the files are in some format that my burner doesn't understand.  As I mentioned previously, I've tried using the set from GameArchive and I also pulled one from elsewhere on the web.  Both do the same thing.  In between trying to burn the ESB ROM's, I've actually burned some EPROM's for other games without issue so I don't think it's my burner.  I was hoping someone had created a set on their own (not one of the ones on the web) so I could try that.

Thanks,
-Chris

I'm trying to do a repair on a SW ESB boardset that has the original Atari ESB conversion kit installed.  It appears that I have a problem with one of the ROM's on the daughterboard (136031.105 and 136031.106).  I've tried downloading two different ROM sets off the web (including the ones from GameArchive) but my EPROM burner doesn't like either one of them and refuses to load them so I'm not sure what's wrong.  Does anyone have a known good set of ESB ROM's, or at least a known .105 and .106?

What data format are you trying to load into your programmer? Most game files are stored as Raw Binary (no error checking), but if you are using a Data I/O 29B you have to set that as the format.

Tell us the make and model of the burner...
