First post to vectorlist (at least in this century). A short intro - I used to be into collecting vids when I had access to a local operator's dumpster but I drifted away after 1998 or so. I recently revived my Space Duel and rebuilt a Tempest.

Now to the subject at hand...

Today was the annual Midwest Gaming Conference in Milwaukee WI. One of the vendors had a bunch of Williams paperwork. Hand drawn stuff straight from the engineer's drafting table. Lots of it was uninteresting stuff like cabinet designs but the seller flashed something that caught my eye - it was sealed in plastic (by the seller) and labeled 68000 raid board schematic drawn by R. Van Ollefen 9/24/82. A 68000 Williams game from 1982? You have my undivided attention! In the same collection were sheets labeled "vector custom a", "vector custom pcb" and "vector processor pcb"

All together now, repeat after me WTF?!?!

Excuse me if this hardware isn't some unknown prototype but I've been out of the loop for quite some time.

Anyways - I only had enough dough to buy one sheet so I grabbed the CPU board schem with the 68000 cpu. I didn't have time to look at the other schems in detail so don't bother asking. The schems were priced at $40 and $60 each (ouch). He also had some Williams designer's notebook but that was $500 (not a misprint $500).

It was late in the day so I would bet they will be there Sunday. His website is www.pinballinc.com. If you shoot him an email he might answer it Sunday. His primary business is replacement pinball playfield parts but he bought out some Williams and Midway collections and ended up with these.

I wish I had seen these schems earlier as Eugene Jarvis had a 90 minute Q&A session earlier in the day. D'oh!

I didn't see anything that specifically mentioned "Predators" (the four player prototype that may or may not have been vector) but you might want to ask him.
