Sorry if this one has already been anwered. I know for certain that the DVG
uses all four words in DIAG STEP mode since we frequently have to look very
closely for problems with the stack hardware. I haven't specifically
monitored the stack during game play, but it's not hard to imagine it
requiring the full depth.
