The main board will run self test and display the crosshatch without the
aux board. But yes the headers have been re-flowed, and it's been tested
with a known good aux board, and cable.

It sounds like the self test is throwing an error for the vector rom. Which
is odd since with the fluke you can read the vector roms just fine.
