Don't think of it as a Linux board. Think of it as a pre-made ARM board for
$25 that you can load any firmware on. Then all the project needs is the DAC
stuff. Now you have the option of an open-source project that any of us
could build on perf board with point to point wireing.

Maybe :-) At least it doesn't mean having to fab an ARM as part of the
project. Instead it could leverage the Raspberry Pi's existing economy of
scale.
