Geez though... You're getting stuck with Linux and 99% unused complexity
overhead as a reward for your efforts. The nice thing about less complex
MCU's (and not dragging Linux along) is that you don't need a ton of flash
and fast external RAM for things to work. Adding an ARM MCU to the vector
generator really amounts to one chip (and just a TQFP package at that)-- one
that you'd probably need *anyway* to the timing and VG control stuff since
Linux isn't going to pull off that kind of timing by itself.
