Out of the box it does all common EPROM's and with adapter boards (extra cost) it will do PLC's, PROM's (no DIPs), PIC's whatever. 2708's are supported with an adapter ($200 ouch!)
It is totally USB and I have used it on systems from Win 98 up to Windows 7 sucessfully.
I had an issue with it once and the creator instantly sent me a new ATMEL for inside of it (yes, it was socketed too) which solved the issue.

However, there is a feature of the BPROM adapter that I hate with a passion. There is a set of DIP switches and a bunch of manually placed jumper wires that you have to set up for each specific BPROM chip before you can program it. I consider this as a highly error prone setup. There are tables indicating how to set up each device, but I still don't like it at all.

...it can program TMS2716, TMS2532.
The unit can also program 2708.
This programmer uses a parallel port and a big AC adapter but I don't see that as a disadvantage since it takes maybe 5 minutes at the most to set it up.
One thing that I like about the kit is that it comes with detailed schematics for all of the available adapters so if you want to build your own adapter, you can.
This is not (by far) the most compact, or in some cases the most convenient, programmer that exists. It's certainly not the cheapest either. However, it can be used to program some very old devices that the majority of new programmers cannot support.

Looks a lot better quality than any of the Willem-stuff from the far-east.
I know these do the trick, but what I like about this one:
- reliable
- no external power supply
- Made in Germany
- Sturdy housing instead of a bare PCB
- EXCELLENT software which runs on Windows, Linux AND Mac !!
- free software + updates every 2 weeks in 18 languages !
- has a HUGE table of known devices
Really thinking about getting this. Yes it's a lot more expensive than a Willem, but this I can put next to my Mac, and program and read EPROMs every second of the day, with very comfy software and a reliable device.

When buying 5 there is a nice rebate, anyone else in Europe interested, we already have 2 interested guys here in Holland. I don't think shipping them on to the US (or anywhere else outside of Europe) is giving any advantage regretfully.
