Try to connect WDDIS test point (watchdog disable) to ground. This keeps the
Watchdog from resetting the (badly running) processor from rebooting, before it
would be able to make any sound or displaying any picture. Ofcourse the problem
is still there but at least you can see any life signs.

If this doesn't change anything, I would check for present clocking signals, and
then on to the data/address bus line activity. In all cases, best is to use a
o'scope, or if not availabe a logic probe gives you a clue about the state of
these signals.
