There are a couple of Phillips 25" tube/yoke pairings that have some
possibilities. IF the horizontal windings are switched from parallel to series
and IF the vertical windings are switched from series to parallel, BOTH
windings are very close to the same inductance (about 1.3 mH) and have about
the same sensitivity (about 4.5 amps to move the spot to the edge of the
screen). At this inductance I figure about 8 volts applied will get the spot
from one side to the other in a millisecond. With 24 volts drive you would
think about a third of a millisecond could happen. But this may still be too
slow. These tubes also come right out of the box converged with no further
adjustment possible. Might play with one some day, if they aren't too pricey.

Probably the way to REALLY use one of these is to find out what TV uses them
and then buy the TV. That way the other stuff you need (HV system, neck board,
video drivers, etc.). come along with it at probably not much more than the
tube would cost alone in low quantity.
