Re: Amplifone HV Trans question...

Do you have a dead WinTron, or just an old dead Amplifone HV transformer?

The reason I ask is, that would be the first dead WinTron I've heard of. I
figure anything wears out eventually...but everything I've read about
WinTron says they never die.

Anyway, you probably already knew this (and forgive me 'cause I'm
definitely no monitor guru) but when talking with manufacturers, you might
confuse them by calling it a flyback. It's my understanding that only
raster monitors use flybacks, while a vector monitor uses what is truly
just a high voltage transformer, not needing a flyback circuit like a
raster monitor does.
