The ONLY time you do NOT connect a monitor chassis to earth ground is if
you are NOT using an isolation transformer. In all other cases, in the
interests of safety (and good electrical practice) we always connect the
monitor chassis to the earth ground connection in any games we sell or
service.

I have not seen any monitors that use a "Hot" chassis in any video games
except for a single model imported from Japan back in the space Invader
days and we installed monitor isolation transformers on every one of those
games...

Commercial Vector monitors all use isolation transformers, and thus they
should all be connected to both the system common and the earth ground. All
exposed metal including the coin door should also be connected to earth
ground to reduce the risk of static shock damaging the board electronics.
