Possible dumb question ;)

I got ahold of a Red Baron AVG board. The bad news is I don't have the Math box board too.

So heres my dumb question of the day :)

Looking at the schematic for the Battle zone Math box and RB math box it looks like the only real difference is the RB has extra input circuits for the analog joystick and a NV ram Circuit.

Will a RB come up with a BZ math box (at least for self test?) or is this a really bad idea and I'm missing something?
