You can test the low voltage section of a WG deflection board without
connecting it to any other components. I'd recommend doing this first
(not least because low voltage failures are very common) before fully
connecting it. Avoid blowing power transistors and the like.
I don't have the schematics handy, but there is a JPEG on the LV2000 site
which you can generalise back to the standard design.
