Re: Asteroids in Asteroids Deluxe cabinet & goofy monitorresponse

This problem, if it's the one I'm thinking of, has been around for a long time.
What I remember is a vertical band in the center of the screen, roughly 1 inch
wide, running the entire height of the CRT, top to bottom. When you get to the
point that there is only one small asteroid left, if your ship enters this area,
some or all of the vectors (of your ship) will disappear. It only seems to
happen when there is little else on the screen.

If that's the same or similar to what you are seeing, my suspicions currently
center on the spot killer circuit in the monitor. I've been meaning to scope
that circuit, and see what's going on when the problem occurs, but it's one
of those, some day, when I have _nothing_ else to do, type of activities.
Maybe you can scope it out and let us know what you see.
