coin lockouts are a pin, when the armature bends they make anoying buzzing sounds.
when i was in the operator business we used to remove them all.

there are very few reasons for keeping them, gambling equipment needs them for legal reasons, about a dozen ancient games need them because you cant clock more than 10 credits but generally they are a wast of time and power.

if you suspect the lockouts why not confirm it by putting a temporary fuse on the lockout coils.
