I've had the same kind of events with Pin and Vid glass.
Tempered glass will take one heck of a blow head on and stay
together... but the slightest tap to the edge and it will
just fall apart. Anytime I take out glass, I never stand it
on end, I lay it flat on something. Oh and on pins, never
carry the glass by just the lift channel. A buddy was helping
me move a pin and he held the back glass by just the lift...
I looked over and before I could say anything, the glass came
right out of the channel and BAM !
