adding a bit more to this,

the ZTX653/753 are probably the most advanced small (not heatsinked) transistors available,

if you keep a few in the spares box they can replace damned near anything in an amergency.

obviously at a $ each you dont use them to replace some 10c part unless your in a rush, but they are pretty universal.
