Now there's an idea. Another idea might be to try replacing the Z80 itself.

Time for me to try buzzing out all the sockets.

Incidentally, this particular boardset seems to be free of corrosion
damage. Somebody got to it in time! However, it DOES have the cheap
black sockets, so I might be in for some socket swap soldering...
