Why not use the existing XY monitors as a base construction project?
That is design a replacement board for the GO8's and WG/AMpliphone tube and
use their HV (if it works) or have a HV replacement (if dead)?
This would get around the initial expense of designing a yoke etc.
Should make the project fairly do-able...
