Hi all,

I found the two Cinematronic docs on spies. I reset the breakers and
powered it up.

Symptoms: sound "explosion" heard, neck begins to glow red AND white,
white blob on screen; 1 breaker pops, then the second a few seconds
later.

A few questions:

1) Is the white glow from the neck normal, or is this bad?
2) Are 19VARP4's still available?
3) How can I tell if the ribbon cable is in backwards on the monitor?
4) With the deflection transistors unplugged, the resistors smoke. No
question, just statement
5) How can you tell if the board works or not if I have no display?
6) This is the "HV on board" (early version) of the monitor. Did they
ever find a solution to revive this type of monitor?
7) Can I get a set of DAC80s just in case?
8) Anyone wanna test my Tailgunner set before I start repairing this
monitor? :-)
9) Anyone have a Tailgunner bezel for sale?
10) Do I have to use the tantelum caps, or can I substitute with
electrolytic or ceramic?

Thanks.
