Some guy living in a limestone cave in France 25,000 years ago patented that
first - Good Lord how primitive can you get.
If you want to be in a hobby and do some board repairs, at least budget some
$$ for the right equipment - hand operated desoldering irons are less than
$50, and solder wick is even cheaper.
